SpongeBob SquarePants Monopoly is a rather surrealistic merging of the capitalist board game and the loveable cartoon character that, rather unexpectedly, works really well!

Monopoly is a game that requires the player to move around the board, using dice to determine how many spaces to move, buying properties, building hotels and houses and charging and paying rent. Having started with a set amount of (fake) money, the aim of the game is to be the richest person at the end of the game, making money by buying all the properties in one area, ensuring that they collect all rents due to them and increasing the values of the properties by building on them. However, players must be careful to ensure that they do not overextend themselves and be left short when they need to pay rent or a fine. The game is addictive and long-running, with changes and reversals of fortune seeing players rise to dizzying heights of wealth and plunge to near bankruptcy with just a few throws of the dice.
